Advocacy

Policy Councils
The Chamber is dedicated to effectively promoting business and quality of life needs to government at the local, state and federal level. These Advocacy Councils focus on local, state and federal legislation and its impact on the business community. The Councils are comprised of volunteer business and community leaders, member employees and area specialists.

Chamber PAC
The Chamber Political Action Committee is a non-partisan, non-profit, committee dedicated to improving the local and state business climate. Chamber PAC raises voluntary contributions to support pro-business candidates running for state and local offices.

Policy Priorities
Each year, the four policy councils work together to articulate a concise and structured policy ‘wish list’ that the chamber advocacy department will focus its energies on for the coming legislative cycle. The BQLA serves as a tool to assist with the communication of Chamber priorities to legislators and candidates for political office.
